I believe the book is accurate, but some of the chapter and section titles are a bit condescending, or at least my students may perceive them as such. Since there is no true typical student, at least where I teach, the textbook does of nice job of trying to touch upon the needs of the many without going into such detail that readers would tune out or be turned off.
