This recipe is worth more than 1 try if it didnt come out how you wanted the first time cause the flavor profile is delicious. you NEED to you andouille sausage for the flavor combo to work. The cheese puts this simple meal over the top! Yay! I have angel hair pasta on hand, would this also require less liquid and less cooking time? I add zucchini, peas, peppers basically whatever I want to add vegetable wise. Then I came here and read the comments. The caramelized onions step is optional. Incredibly easy to make. I did use venison sausage but results were great! Looking forward to trying this tonight. . Next time, and oh yes, there will be a next time, I may have to double the recipe. I will definitely be making this again! Anyways, was so good (and sooo easy). Had to make a quick dinner for my kids. I joked that it was my home version of chopped the night we went with leftover chicken, cheddar cheese and taco seasoning. Lets c how it turns out. I wondered how the pasta would cook since I am used to boiling it alone, but it turned out perfect!
