Six people died in accidents involving motorcycles during Bike Week, authorities said. The woman was killed when the motorcycle she was riding on as a passenger was rear-ended by a vehicle on International Speedway Boulevard near the intersection of Hagen Terrace, police said. Last year, there were also six Bike Week fatalities. A 53-year-old woman, who was injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday died at the hospital Monday, making her the seventh person to die during the 10-day Bike Week event held in Daytona Beach. Also, many bikers suffered serious injuries and were taken as trauma alerts to Halifax Health Medial Center, officials said.
